Well, it’s been well over a year since The White Stripes broke up… and I’ve finally settled it in my brain. They’re gone.
Lately, I’ve really been missing Meg.
I love what Jack’s doing yet lately I’ve been realising even more so how utterly perfect they were together, and it’s saddening to say that I think I may have started to move on from the stripes being my ultimate favourite band in the whole world.
Undoubtedly they will always be so very special to me. And there is no one to replace them. I just don’t think I feel that intense fiery passion that made me jump up and down in my seat in a silent church anymore..
I think I’m growing up. And letting go, like Jack and Meg are.
I guess its time to move on.
